This fruit, vegetable and fish market is in our area every Saturday. These photos were actually taken in January as they were just setting up, but show an overview of what the market is about. Now the summer fruits are are out in abundance and it is almost overwhelming to wander up and down the rows trying to choose whose produce is better. We have found one vendor who has wonder green leafy vegetables and they will remember you from week to week - especially when you are struggling to speak Turkish!! We can choose from melons, apricots, peaches, cherries, grapes, pears, plums, strawberries,( soon figs), zuchinni, spinach, multiple lettuces, cabbages, tiny cucumbers, and green beans to name just a few. You can get dried fruits and nuts, as well as honey and cheeses, flowers, plants and on the periphery, clothes and shoes. Similar to the Gypsy Markets of Spain, but way expanded. Quite an experience.
