HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME

Happy Birthday to me...49 again!!  It was a quiet day without the kids or grandkids to help celebrate, but we took a drive along the coast at Mudanya and discovered some "beach" areas we had not seen before.  We had intended to take a walk along the walk above, but the winds kicked up, followed by drizzle.  We finished the evening with a lovely fish dinner at a restaurant by the Marmara Sea.

The ferry to Istanbul is docked in Mudanya, boarding and about ready to go.  The smaller two ferries in the foreground are a hotel and a restaurant.

An eagle sculpture located right on the beach

A tiny fishing village in the next cove past Mudanya

The beaches were not sandy, but rocky/pebbly.  The olive trees are growing right down to the sea.
