WHAT DO YOU DO...

 When you arrive at the airport after a 10 hour flight  and your luggage doesn't?  You fill out the required paperwork, meet the driver, miss the ferry, get the last ticket on the last ferry out on a Friday night, get home late, and return to Istanbul the next day to retrieve bags.

Catch the "IDO" as the ferry to/from Istanbul is called (Istanbul Deniz (sea) Otobus) and be the first in line to drive on to the ferry.

Drive to airport and see the Evil eye made from pansies;

Tulips are everywhere, in the center islands of the road, roadside walkways, parks;

Arrive at airport, only to find the plane is late, and see another Evil Eye;

 And you wait, read, watch people, wait, until finally you are allowed back in the baggage claim area to retrieve your bags.  By that time, you have missed the ferry back to Bursa, so you spend the night in Istanbul.

You enjoy views from the hotel out to the harbor of the 100's of ships waiting in one direction and to a yacht harbor in another;

You take in the beautiful flowers in seaside parks, along walking paths and on butterflies in the center median of the road;

You take in the harbor views in the other direction, small fishing craft and the skyline of the Old City/Sultanahmet area and the ferry docks;

Old City with the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia;
Blue Mosque;
Train Station and city behind.
And you hope that you don't have to repeat this procedure any time in the future.  Coming to Istanbul purely on pleasure excepted.
