Close to the end of my stay, Megan, Shauna, the kids and I took a train and subway ride to Dongdaemun, home of the Dongdaemun Shopping Complex, 5 floors of any kind of fabric, sewing, or crafting materials or notions you could want. A sewers paradise. And when I say crowded, I mean crowded. To say it was overwhelming would be an understatement. Trying to get a stroller through there took way too much skill; trying not to get lost even when you have a map; trying to find just the right fabric, trim, ribbon; but, the experience was priceless. I would love to return there one day, without strollers, rent a room, and spend more than a few hours roaming the floors, to find just that one piece of material I can't live without.
The church just outside the gates to the base.
The train station; of course that is what that says.
Fun ride Mom Mom.
I hope this adventure isn't too boring without Daisy.
Just outside the material market.
The delivery motorcycles and men. They would stack rolls and rolls of carpets, materials, and packages of all sizes and deliver them around town on those backpack like frames and same on motorbikes. Amazing.
One of the only "oriental" looking structures I saw. It was a gate to somewhere, across from the markets.
Another church spire; I know, but they were interesting, appearing on tops of all types of buildings.
The entrance to paradise....
One of hundreds of aisles on multiple floors; as you venture off this main aisle, they become more crowded and narrow.
You better have a good idea of what you are looking for or you just might forget when you see all the choices.
This ends my journey in South Korea. It is back to Turkey and finding more adventures there. I was excited to finally get to South Korea, enjoyed every minute I was there, made hundreds of memories, and am sad to leave, but everyone needs to get back to their normal lives. Guess we can't live in vacation mode forever. Thank you Megan, Rick, Natty and Gabby for such a memorable experience.

What a wonderful trip!! Thank you for sharing your pictures and experiences--looks like lots of FUN and I know they LOVED having MomMom there to visit!
