KOREAN BAR-B-Q

One evening, along with their friends James and Shauna Attaway,  and children Daisy and Jae, we went to a Korean Bar-B-Q restaurant where we sat on the floor and cooked our own food.  I have to say first, the Attaways are fellow Texans and Shauna is an Aggie.  Furthermore, she and Megan were in the same graduating class, with the same degree, and never knew each other.  Now they meet, on a military base in South Korea and their 5 year old daughters are best friends.  Small world.  That said, we had an interesting evening looking, choosing and cooking our dinner.  Most everything was good; there were some things that begged questioning and others you just avoided.  My favorite meat  had to have been the bulgogi beef.  "Bulgogi" literally means "fire meat", but refers generally to any meat, beef, chicken or pork, that has been marinated in a soy sauce mixture, and then grilled, traditionally, over an open fire.  It had a very good flavor and was extremely tender.

Natty, Daisy and I trying to figure it all out.

Gabby, and Jae, brought their own floor seating.  Can you imagine a 9 and 12 month old let loose on the floors.

 Food cooking.
 Food being eaten.
 Say Cheese!
Apparently not getting his food fast enough.

A view of the restaurant.  Not flash, but fun.  And those tables are a very low and the cushions provided, very thin.  Thank goodness for multiple layers!
