NOAH'S PUDDING
Noah's Pudding, or "Ashure", the original name, is one of the oldest Turkish desserts. History says that when the Ark landed on Mount Ararat (in Northeastern Turkey), Noah wanted to celebrate but they were running sort of food supplies. They mixed together the 7 ingredients they had (barley, rice, beans, chick peas, sugar, dried fruits and walnuts) and made a pudding. Traditionally, whenever the pudding was made after that, it was typical to share with family and friends, regardless of religion or belief, as an offering of peace and love. Maybe that tradition needs to be renewed around the world and a giant pot of Noah's Pudding made and distributed to all.
