NATTY'S WORLD

Natalie Mae had grown, and changed, in the 16 months since I had seen her,(gotten a little taller, freckles across her nose) but that beautiful, loving, fun, gentle spirit was still there.  She is 5 1/2 now and in kindergarten.  She is playing baby dolls one minute, Barbie the next; wanting to help (especially in the kitchen) then arguing; being sweet, then sassy; learning to ride her bike without training wheels; sing, perform or pose for pictures; is reading and doing basic math; started Daisy Scouts when I was there and attended a Daddy/Daughter masquerade ball just after I left; takes Taekwondo lessons 3 afternoons a week and I was privileged to see her test for and receive her Blue Belt; loves to be read to, loves to cuddle, is not too big to hold hands or sit in your lap and still loves to be sung her bed time songs.  She makes my heart sing.

Natty had asked for a Barbie that belonged to Kylie, so I obliged.
Belting out "The Climb" by Hannah Montana on her karaoke machine.
Striking a pose, one of many.
Waiting for the elevator to go down to school.
Holding hands with Mom Mom on the way to the school line.  She only has to walk outside her building and across the end of the housing complex to the school.  She enjoyed me walking her over then walking all the way to her classroom with her.  I enjoyed it too.
Waiting in line to walk to class.
Appears to be chaos while the buses arrive and kids line up.
Choosing something from the Treasure Box for being good.  Teacher: Mrs. Hadley.  I had lunch with her and visited her classroom one day.
