We had visited the Duden Falls into the Med, but we were told these falls, the Kursunlu Falls on the Asku River, (the river coming from the lake where we ate trout) were beautiful too. They were on the road out of town as well, just past Perge, so we took another detour. The pronunciation is "kurshunloo".

Ahh, the famous "Turkish Camel". I think not, but someone thought it would be a good tourist op to charge to take a photo on the camel. I remember our kids doing that in Morocco where they actually have camels.

A grist mill we discovered on the walk down to the falls, evidence that the river area was used for agricultural purposes at some point in time.

The falls themselves. They were so beautiful and the water so crystal clear in the pool below. There were beautiful walking paths along the river, but it was too stinking hot to linger too long. We will make a point to visit there again in cooler weather.
SPLASH!! Sure did look inviting on that hot day.
