This and That

The florists are decorating a "wedding car".  We will try and catch one fully decorated after Ramazan, since there seem to be no weddings during this period.  It is amazing to see the procession of cars, the wedding car decorated, the following cars all waving some sort of cloth and all horns blaring.

For all who "only their hairdresser knows", this is where I went for a cut and shhh!!! color.  It was down a winding road and well, I wondered where we were going.  The corn breeder that works for Geoff has curly hair and she recommended and took me.  The shop was quite a bit different from the one I went to in Austin, but the amenities were the same.  But I have to say the job done by the very happy, very professional salonist was pretty well spot on.  And...drum roll...it cost me 40 Turkish Lira, or about $28 for a cut and color.  I could get 4 for this price at home, but, David Moreno, from The Art of Subtraction in Austin, you are still No. 1 with me.  The best hairdresser in the world.

Not long after the cut, but a bit windblown.

And just to show everyone that keeps asking if we have gone in the pool, where here is evidence that at least once, we used the pool.
