Lower Duden Waterfall

The Lower Duden Waterfall is the end of the Duden River where it falls into the Mediterranean Sea. The above photo is the river as it is rushing down from the Taurus Mountains.

The calm before the storm...the river went under a bridge and seemed to almost come to a standstill as it flowed toward to the edge of the cliff.

Then it picked up speed, and noise, as it began to spill over the edge, and into the sea.

And over it went, roaring several hundred feet down, sending spray a long way out. There were personal watercraft as well as guided sight seeing tours trying to see how close they could get to the falls.

A huge splash as it hit the sea. The ultimate water ride, not!!
